						<h5><p>Sorcha is a Clinical Research Specialist with the Clinical Trials Unit. She is responsible for the daily project management of a number of international multi-centre trials, including preparing documentation and regulatory submissions, site set-up and training, recruitment monitoring and supply management.</p>
<p>Before joining the AHRC, Sorcha spent over six years at the University of Oxford’s Clinical Trials Service Unit (CTSU) at the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH). She worked as a Clinical Trial Manager on large-scale international renal and cardiovascular trials. Prior to this, Sorcha worked in the NDPH Wolfson Laboratories as a Scientific Officer and Laboratory Training Officer, on large observational studies and randomised trials. She completed a bachelors’ degree in Physiology at Trinity College, Dublin.</p>

She earned her degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. With a clinical Fellowship, a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Research, and a mini-MBA, Rasha brings a strong experimental and observational research background, in the fields of medical imaging, cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, and neuroscience clinical research.</p>
<p>As a research monitor, Rasha has a proven track record of overseeing, managing, and monitoring regulated State-of-the-art multicenter clinical trials. 						<h5><p>Gurpreet Lakhanpal, MSc, CCRP, PMP is the Interim Operations Director, delivering strategic and operational oversight of the AHRC and providing direction and leadership to a team who manage and support all units within the AHRC.</p>
<p>In addition to this role, Gurpreet is the Manager of the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) overseeing a team supporting all Randomized Control Trials (RCTs) coordinated at the AHRC. These RCTs are in various therapeutic areas and range from phase II-IV multi-centre, international trials involving investigational products (drugs, biologics, medical devices and natural health products).</p>
<p>Gurpreet started at the AHRC in 2018 as a Project Manager (Clinical Research Specialist) within CTU overseeing the T1ME Trial and its sub-studies. Prior to joining the AHRC, she worked in several leading Toronto academic hospitals, including SickKids, Mount Sinai Hospital and Sunnybrook Hospital and the CRO, Ozmosis Research. Rohila is a former Research Coordinator at Baycrest Health Sciences where she spent four years under the supervision of Dr. Morris Freedman, Head of Neurology at Baycrest, to coordinate research studies in the areas of mind-matter interactions, and Alzheimer’s &amp; Dementia research. </p>
<p>Rohila has past experience working in the Research &amp; Academics department of Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences where she conducted program evaluations in the mental health setting, including an evaluation of the Adolescent Eating Disorders Unit treatment program, and the Ontario Shores Recovery College. </p>

						<h5><p>Dr. Duminda Wijeysundera is the Interim Medical Director of the Applied Health Research Centre at St. Michael’s Hospital, and a professor in both the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. He is a practicing Staff Anesthesiologist at St. Michael’s Hospital and holds the Endowed Chair in Translational Anesthesiology Research at St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto.</p>
<p>Duminda completed a MD at the University of British Columbia, postgraduate residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Toronto, and a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the University of Toronto. He is an internationally renowned expert in perioperative medicine and co-leads the PINNACLE research program (@PinnaclePeriop) at St. Michael’s Hospital. Duminda has a major interest in approaches to better predict, prevent, and treat adverse sequalae following surgery, such as major complications, poor functional recovery, and disability. He has contributed to more than 300 peer-reviewed publications, while his research has been supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, PSI Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Canadian Anesthesia Research Foundation, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and the Ontario government.</p>

						<h3>Vice President of Research and Innovation</h3>
						<h5><p>Dr. Ori Rotstein is the Vice President of Research and Innovation at Unity Health Toronto. He is also a Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto.</p>
<p>In addition to his role as VP, Dr. Rotstein is a practicing General Surgeon, and is an acknowledged expert in the management of intra-abdominal infection and inflammation. He is the former Director of the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto, the postgraduate arm of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto from 2001-2011 that was responsible for graduate training programs for more than 500 MSc/PhD students. In 2012, the Institute of Medical Science honoured him with an annual lecture ‘The Ori D. Rotstein Lectureship in Translational Research’. He is a member of several prestigious medical societies including the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, the American Surgical Association, and the American Society for Clinical Investigation. He is a Past President of the Surgical Infection Society and has contributed significantly to the activities of the American College of Surgeons through his participation on the Program Committee, Surgical Forum Committee, and the Scholarship Executive Committee.</p>
<p><strong>Research Interests</strong></p>
<p>Dr. Rotstein has a major interest in understanding how traumatic injury leads to alterations in the immune response of patients. He uses his clinical insights into the mechanisms of disease to generate novel therapeutic approaches to preventing poor outcome in these patients. His work spans the “bench to bedside” continuum, wherein he investigates cellular and animal models with a view to translating these to novel therapies in humans. This translational research has led to the investigation of the use of additives in resuscitation fluids in patients sustaining such injuries.</p>

As a Clinical Research Specialist in the Observational Epidemiology and Qualitative Research Unit, Christopher oversees several projects. His roles involve study design and initiation, site management, development of case report forms and databases, data collection and quality control, research communications, and site reimbursement.</p>

Following postdoctoral work in that area, she obtained an MSc in Biostatistics from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto and has been working as biostatistician since. Her previous work was focused on observational studies in the field of cardiology with an emphasis on the analysis of long-term survival following cardiovascular procedures. In her current role at the AHRC, she supports the Clinical Trials Unit with statistical analysis and reporting for a broad range of prospective studies.</p>

						<h5><p>Michelle Goodman, HBSc, MSc, is a Clinical Study Assistant II within the Observational Epidemiology and Qualitative Research Unit of the AHRC. She holds a MSc in Epidemiology and BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences and Sociology from the University of Guelph, providing her with an understanding of human, animal and environmental health as well as their intersection.<br />
Prior to joining the AHRC, Michelle gained general and clinical research experience in academic and CRO settings. She has been involved in a variety of investigations examining preventatives, medical devices, drugs and natural health products.<br />
In her current role, Michelle will assist with research study operations and provide support to project leads. This includes database development, data management, quality and control activities, training and research communications. </p>

						<p>Roula (Stavroula) Raptis, MSc, has a diverse research background and interests, lending well to her analytical skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams. Roula completed her BSc at the University of Waterloo, with a focus in cell and molecular biology and microbiology. She went on to complete an MSc degree at the University of Toronto in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology. There she explored gene polymorphisms in cancer susceptibility genes and was a member of a large, nationally funded initiative &#8211; the interprovincial Colorectal Cancer Interdisciplinary Health Research Team. Roula has experience in both academic and nonacademic settings, including working for an independent analytical laboratory for several years, as well as in various teaching environments. In her current role with the Observational Epidemiology and Qualitative Research Unit, Roula is involved in study design, patient registry and database design, protocol and data collection form development, study planning and operations, and research communications. She is the author of a book chapter on genetic instability, and an author and co-author on several additional peer-reviewed publications.</p>

						<p>Clara Juando-Prats, PhD, MSc, BScN, is a Clinical Research Specialist at the AHRC. She completed her PhD at Faculty of Nursing in the University of Toronto, her MSc at the University of Edinburgh (UK), and the BScN at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). Clara uses visual methods and critical social theory to study access and utilization to the health care resources by vulnerable populations in Toronto. Her work with young mothers with low resources, young parents living in the margins, and in partnership with community agencies, aims to positively impact the physical and mental health of this population while giving them social connections with health care providers. Prior to joining the HUB, Clara was the leader of the Knowledge Translation and Nursing Research Unit at the Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona, developing and evaluating projects studies related to clinical safety, knowledge translation, and nursing leadership. At the Hospital Sant Pau, Clara also worked as a nurse, a research nurse, and as an specialist in qualitative methods at the Epidemiology Department. She has been collaborating for several years with the Cochrane Collaboration and the Joanna Briggs Institute as an instructor and reviewer. During 2013 and 2012 she completed two fellowships, at the Spanish Ministry of Health in qualitative research with marginalized women, and at the Centre for Global Health at the University of Ottawa in Complex Interventions and Knowledge Mobilization. The focus of Clara’s work at the AHRC has been evaluation of complex interventions, qualitative and mixed methods designs for health research, knowledge translation and health inequities.</p>

Dr. Nisenbaum is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Biostatistics in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, co-teaching the course ‘Laboratory in Statistical Design &amp; Analysis’ and serving as a Practicum supervisor.</p>

Charlie has experience teaching undergraduate statistics courses at the University of Guelph as a sessional lecturer, and providing statistical consulting for the Mood Disorder Centre of Ottawa at the University of Ottawa Health Services. In his current role at the AHRC, Charlie provides statistical analysis and support for observational studies and randomized trials, primarily using R and SAS. His research interests include survival analysis, multi-state models, and longitudinal data analysis.</p>

He has effectively collaborated with hospitals, healthcare providers, and group purchasing organizations, overseeing diverse portfolios encompassing multiple therapeutic areas such as oncology, mental health, pain management, and specialty medicine.</p>
<p>Before joining AHRC, He was an Associate in the hospital and corporate accounts division at Teva Pharmaceuticals. There, he focused strategically on managing RFP contracts for Canadian hospitals and GPOs while building strong relationships with corporate accounts. Prior to Teva, he played a pivotal role at Chiesi Global Rare Disease, collaborating closely with the leadership team to optimize sales strategies, spearheading critical sales and operations initiatives, and providing sales support to international clients. Usman excels in project management, relationship building, and navigating client interactions.</p>

She is responsible for the daily project management of a number of international multi-centre trials, including preparing documentation and regulatory submissions, site set-up and training, recruitment monitoring and supply management.</p>
<p>Before joining the AHRC, Sorcha spent over six years at the University of Oxford’s Clinical Trials Service Unit (CTSU) at the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH). She worked as a Clinical Trial Manager on large-scale international renal and cardiovascular trials. Prior to this, Sorcha worked in the NDPH Wolfson Laboratories as a Scientific Officer and Laboratory Training Officer, on large observational studies and randomised trials. She completed a bachelors’ degree in Physiology at Trinity College, Dublin.</p>

As a Clinical Research Specialist in the Clinical Trials Unit, she has managed multiple international, multi-centre, phase II-III randomized clinical trials with various study designs.</p>
<p>Melissa has overseen trials in the therapeutic areas of cardiology, oncology and critical care, as well as a regulated class IV medical device trial. In her role she acts as the main liaison between Sponsor-PIs and study centres, develops and maintains essential study documents, manages study payments and contracts, and coordinates database builds, data collection and safety reporting.</p>

					<h5><p>Gurpreet Lakhanpal, MSc, CCRP, PMP is the Interim Operations Director, delivering strategic and operational oversight of the AHRC and providing direction and leadership to a team who manage and support all units within the AHRC.</p>
<p>In addition to this role, Gurpreet is the Manager of the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) overseeing a team supporting all Randomized Control Trials (RCTs) coordinated at the AHRC. These RCTs are in various therapeutic areas and range from phase II-IV multi-centre, international trials involving investigational products (drugs, biologics, medical devices and natural health products).</p>
<p>Gurpreet started at the AHRC in 2018 as a Project Manager (Clinical Research Specialist) within CTU overseeing the T1ME Trial and its sub-studies. Prior to joining the AHRC, she worked in several leading Toronto academic hospitals, including SickKids, Mount Sinai Hospital and Sunnybrook Hospital and the CRO, Ozmosis Research. Gurpreet brings a wealth of knowledge in clinical research, molecular biology, project management and research operations and administration.</p>

						<p>Rekha Thomas is a Clinical Research Specialist II with the Clinical Trials Unit at AHRC, responsible for the day to day management of the clinical trial.  In her role, she provides support in the planning and management of multi-center randomized clinical trials in various aspects including regulatory submissions, study startup initiatives, site communications, study operations, supply management.</p>
<p>Rekha has vast experience working on Phase I-II trials, Public health projects on alcohol and drug addictions and Community engagement trials on opioid overdose. Rekha also carries experience in setting up the infrastructure and processes of a Research Ethics Office in academic setting.</p>
<p>Rekha completed her Honors in Cell &amp; Molecular Biology from the University of Toronto followed by Post-Graduation in Clinical Research from Humber College. Rekha is an active member of the SOCRA since 2009.</p>

					<h5><p>Priyanka is a Clinical Research Specialist II with the Clinical Trials Unit at AHRC, responsible for the day to day management of multicenter randomized clinical trials. In her current role, she provides support in the planning and management of multicenter randomized clinical trials in various aspects including regulatory submissions, study startup initiatives, site communications, study operations and supply management.</p>
<p>Priyanka joins the team with over 8 years of experience working on Phase I-II-III clinical trials in Canada as well as Internationally. She has completed her Master of Science in Medical Pharmacology and Postgraduate Diploma in Leadership for Healthcare Professionals from the Confederation College, Thunder Bay.</p>

Following postdoctoral work in that area, she obtained an MSc in Biostatistics from the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto and has been working as biostatistician since. Her previous work was focused on observational studies in the field of cardiology with an emphasis on the analysis of long-term survival following cardiovascular procedures. In her current role at the AHRC, she supports the Clinical Trials Unit with statistical analysis and reporting for a broad range of prospective studies.</p>

					<h5><p>Gurpreet Lakhanpal, MSc, CCRP, PMP is the Interim Operations Director, delivering strategic and operational oversight of the AHRC and providing direction and leadership to a team who manage and support all units within the AHRC.</p>
<p>In addition to this role, Gurpreet is the Manager of the Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) overseeing a team supporting all Randomized Control Trials (RCTs) coordinated at the AHRC. These RCTs are in various therapeutic areas and range from phase II-IV multi-centre, international trials involving investigational products (drugs, biologics, medical devices and natural health products).</p>
<p>Gurpreet started at the AHRC in 2018 as a Project Manager (Clinical Research Specialist) within CTU overseeing the T1ME Trial and its sub-studies. Prior to joining the AHRC, she worked in several leading Toronto academic hospitals, including SickKids, Mount Sinai Hospital and Sunnybrook Hospital and the CRO, Ozmosis Research. Gurpreet brings a wealth of knowledge in clinical research, molecular biology, project management and research operations and administration.</p>

					<h5><p>Dr. Ori Rotstein is the Vice President of Research and Innovation at Unity Health Toronto. He is also a Professor and Associate Chair of the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto.</p>
<p>In addition to his role as VP, Dr. Rotstein is a practicing General Surgeon, and is an acknowledged expert in the management of intra-abdominal infection and inflammation. He is the former Director of the Institute of Medical Science, University of Toronto, the postgraduate arm of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto from 2001-2011 that was responsible for graduate training programs for more than 500 MSc/PhD students. In 2012, the Institute of Medical Science honoured him with an annual lecture ‘The Ori D. Rotstein Lectureship in Translational Research’. He is a member of several prestigious medical societies including the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, the American Surgical Association, and the American Society for Clinical Investigation. He is a Past President of the Surgical Infection Society and has contributed significantly to the activities of the American College of Surgeons through his participation on the Program Committee, Surgical Forum Committee, and the Scholarship Executive Committee.</p>
<p><strong>Research Interests</strong></p>
<p>Dr. Rotstein has a major interest in understanding how traumatic injury leads to alterations in the immune response of patients. He uses his clinical insights into the mechanisms of disease to generate novel therapeutic approaches to preventing poor outcome in these patients. His work spans the “bench to bedside” continuum, wherein he investigates cellular and animal models with a view to translating these to novel therapies in humans. This translational research has led to the investigation of the use of additives in resuscitation fluids in patients sustaining such injuries.</p>

					<h5><p>Dr. Duminda Wijeysundera is the Interim Medical Director of the Applied Health Research Centre at St. Michael’s Hospital, and a professor in both the Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine and Institute of Health Policy Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. He is a practicing Staff Anesthesiologist at St. Michael’s Hospital and holds the Endowed Chair in Translational Anesthesiology Research at St. Michael’s Hospital and the University of Toronto.</p>
<p>Duminda completed a MD at the University of British Columbia, postgraduate residency training in anesthesiology at the University of Toronto, and a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the University of Toronto. He is an internationally renowned expert in perioperative medicine and co-leads the PINNACLE research program (@PinnaclePeriop) at St. Michael’s Hospital. Duminda has a major interest in approaches to better predict, prevent, and treat adverse sequalae following surgery, such as major complications, poor functional recovery, and disability. He has contributed to more than 300 peer-reviewed publications, while his research has been supported by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, PSI Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, Canadian Anesthesia Research Foundation, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and the Ontario government.</p>

<p>Sahar has over 14 years of experience working in Clinical Research on investigator initiated as well as industry sponsored studies.  She has been involved in conducting day to day tasks for observational studies.  Additionally, Sahar has managed multi-site national observational studies and multi-site international clinical trials.  Through the various roles Sahar has held, she has had the opportunity to contribute to every aspect and stage of clinical research including, assisting in drafting study protocols, grant applications and manuscripts, completing regulatory and ethical applications, formulating budgets, initiating study sites, data management and analysis.</p>

<p>Sahar has received HBSc in Cell and Molecular Biology from University of Toronto and MSc in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University.  she has also completed a Clinical Research Associate program at Michener Institute.  Sahar authored several manuscripts that have been published in peer reviewed journals. she has also authored and presented posters at conferences.</p>

Dr. Nisenbaum is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Biostatistics in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, co-teaching the course ‘Laboratory in Statistical Design &amp; Analysis’ and serving as a Practicum supervisor.</p>

						<p>Clara Juando-Prats, PhD, MSc, BScN, is a Clinical Research Specialist at the AHRC. She completed her PhD at Faculty of Nursing in the University of Toronto, her MSc at the University of Edinburgh (UK), and the BScN at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain). Clara uses visual methods and critical social theory to study access and utilization to the health care resources by vulnerable populations in Toronto. Her work with young mothers with low resources, young parents living in the margins, and in partnership with community agencies, aims to positively impact the physical and mental health of this population while giving them social connections with health care providers. Prior to joining the HUB, Clara was the leader of the Knowledge Translation and Nursing Research Unit at the Hospital Sant Pau in Barcelona, developing and evaluating projects studies related to clinical safety, knowledge translation, and nursing leadership. At the Hospital Sant Pau, Clara also worked as a nurse, a research nurse, and as an specialist in qualitative methods at the Epidemiology Department. She has been collaborating for several years with the Cochrane Collaboration and the Joanna Briggs Institute as an instructor and reviewer. During 2013 and 2012 she completed two fellowships, at the Spanish Ministry of Health in qualitative research with marginalized women, and at the Centre for Global Health at the University of Ottawa in Complex Interventions and Knowledge Mobilization. The focus of Clara’s work at the AHRC has been evaluation of complex interventions, qualitative and mixed methods designs for health research, knowledge translation and health inequities.</p>

She holds a MSc in Epidemiology and BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences and Sociology from the University of Guelph, providing her with an understanding of human, animal and environmental health as well as their intersection.<br />
Prior to joining the AHRC, Michelle gained general and clinical research experience in academic and CRO settings. She has been involved in a variety of investigations examining preventatives, medical devices, drugs and natural health products.<br />
In her current role, Michelle will assist with research study operations and provide support to project leads. This includes database development, data management, quality and control activities, training and research communications. </p>

						<p>Cheryl Pritlove, PhD, is a Clinical Research Specialist, employing qualitative methods to the study of a variety of health-related research topics, including cardiac health and diabetes. She has extensive experience and expertise in qualitative and arts-based methods, health policy, and psychosocial oncology. Cheryl has a BA in Health and Society and an MSc in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University. She conducted her doctoral research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre where she worked with patients as well as health care and service providers to identify gaps in the delivery of cancer care and explored innovative approaches to (acute/chronic) care integration.  She has conducted health services research with a number of organizations including Wellspring, ELLICSR Health, Wellness and Cancer Survivorship Centre, as well as the University of Toronto and York University.</p>

<p>Kathryn’s work currently focuses on using qualitative methods to understand patients’ and healthcare providers’ perspectives on healthcare services and policies. Her previous areas of research include medical regulation, health professions education, and evaluation of health system performance. She currently holds an appointment as an Education Investigator at the Institute for Education Research (TIER) at UHN.</p>

In his current role at the AHRC, Charlie provides statistical analysis and support for observational studies and randomized trials, primarily using R and SAS. His research interests include survival analysis, multi-state models, and longitudinal data analysis.</p>

						<p>Roula (Stavroula) Raptis, MSc, has a diverse research background and interests, lending well to her analytical skills and ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams. Roula completed her BSc at the University of Waterloo, with a focus in cell and molecular biology and microbiology. She went on to complete an MSc degree at the University of Toronto in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology. There she explored gene polymorphisms in cancer susceptibility genes and was a member of a large, nationally funded initiative &#8211; the interprovincial Colorectal Cancer Interdisciplinary Health Research Team. Roula has experience in both academic and nonacademic settings, including working for an independent analytical laboratory for several years, as well as in various teaching environments. In her current role with the Observational Epidemiology and Qualitative Research Unit, Roula is involved in study design, patient registry and database design, protocol and data collection form development, study planning and operations, and research communications. She is the author of a book chapter on genetic instability, and an author and co-author on several additional peer-reviewed publications.</p>

					<h5><p>Rohila joined the AHRC in April 2023 as a Research Compliance &amp; Education Specialist. She holds a project management certificate and received her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Toronto. Rohila is a former Research Coordinator at Baycrest Health Sciences where she spent four years under the supervision of Dr. Morris Freedman, Head of Neurology at Baycrest, to coordinate research studies in the areas of mind-matter interactions, and Alzheimer’s &amp; Dementia research. </p>
<p>Rohila has past experience working in the Research &amp; Academics department of Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences where she conducted program evaluations in the mental health setting, including an evaluation of the Adolescent Eating Disorders Unit treatment program, and the Ontario Shores Recovery College. </p>
<p>Her current interests lie in combining her project management skills and knowledge of clinical research to implement best practice standards and support research education</p>

She earned her degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. With a clinical Fellowship, a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Research, and a mini-MBA, Rasha brings a strong experimental and observational research background, in the fields of medical imaging, cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, and neuroscience clinical research.</p>
<p>As a research monitor, Rasha has a proven track record of overseeing, managing, and monitoring regulated State-of-the-art multicenter clinical trials. With her previous roles and deep understanding of both the medical and regulatory aspects of research, she is capable of navigating the complexities of the research process with ease and efficiency.</p>
<p>In addition to her role at the AHRC, Rasha is also collaborating with JDMI research office’s tumor measurement program at UHN, as one of the Radiologists team.”</p>

Natalie holds an Honours BA degree in Mathematics from York University.</p>

						<p>Pamela De Verno, MSc, has over 15 years of clinical research experience, as well as extensive experience in biotechnology research and development. As a Research Database Specialist with the Research Information Systems team, Pamela is responsible for the design, build and support of studies within a data management system for storage, validation and retrieval of clinical data.</p>

						<p>Melissa Tom is a SAS Programmer and Research Data Management Specialist and has been with the Research Information Systems team since December 2012. In her role at the AHRC, she is responsible for data management, data extraction and reporting of clinical data. Melissa has several years of experience using SAS.</p>

					<h5><p>Esmot joined AHRC in April 2021 as a Research Database Application Specialist. She completed her PhD in Pediatrics from Mie University Graduate School of Medicine, Japan. Prior to joining AHRC, she worked for Dalhousie University as a Research Associate and at McGill University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Esmot has more than 15 years of clinical research experience and quantitative data analysis. In her current role, she is responsible for the design, build, and support of clinical studies in electronics data capture systems.</p>

						<p>Alice Dang holds a BSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Toronto. She joined the AHRC in 2012 as a Professional Experiential Year (PEY) intern in the role of Research Assistant, and returned full-time as a Clinical Study Assistant after the completion of her degree in 2014. Now in the role of Research Data Management Specialist, Alice is responsible for reviewing the data of a large multi-centre trial to ensure it is complete and accurate, and also provides support to project managers in the Clinical Trials Unit.</p>
					</div>
