Description: This session will discuss the rationale and the essential elements of randomized clinical trials using practical examples. Topics covered will include confounding in observational studies, randomization, blinding and intention-to-treat analysis, choice of outcome and sample size considerations, and pragmatic trial designs. 

This session is open to:

– researchers

– research assistants

– research coordinators

– physicians

– and, clinicians working in research hospitals affiliated with U of T.
