Quality indicators of stroke care are important in the treatment and management of acute stroke, and can act as a standard measure representing optimal care between different hospitals across Canada. This study aims to determine whether quality of stroke care is associated with improved outcomes (in a multi-centre cohort of ischemic stroke patients), as well as to characterize physician factors associated with quality of stroke care, thus providing insight into possible reasons for physician practice variation.
